The biceps are the primary muscles on the front of the upper arm, responsible for elbow flexion and forearm supination. They are involved in all pulling movements and are one of the most visible muscle groups.
The biceps brachii has two heads: the long head (outer) and short head (inner). Both originate from the scapula and insert into the radial tuberosity. The brachialis, underneath the biceps, is a powerful elbow flexor that adds arm thickness.
